I intern at www.aroundphilly.com / www.aycstudio.com on mondays and
tuesdays, but on other days they comission me to create party flyers
for these clubs in NYC. At first I was pretty nervous, but I've been
getting more confident with how they been coming out ~ whaddya think?

I've done some other ones, but I like those the best. Although its hard
to do them... and I feel like I'm fighting a war when I do so, I guess
I'm glad I do em, cuz its helping me get my aesthetics up. I think I've
come a pretty good way so far, but I still got a good ways to go.
But co-op ends on March 31st... man they're making me wait forever. But
Co-Op went really well, and I'm sure everyone else'll have a great time
on theirs. Trust me, its a really welcome break =]
Korean
Ok, by now you're probably like, "Keith you really need to get over
yourself" or something, buttt I was thinking about a few years back and
how my Korean has came a pretty good way :
1997 -
A brat in middle school. I curse alot, but get good grades. I'm spoiled
too, and a total computer nerd. I listen to Blink 182, Greenday,
Vertical Horizon, etc. I think I knew how to say "Thank you" in Korean.
But that's about it.
2002 - I'm a senior in high
school. I've been attending Antioch forever amen now, but Korean skill
still equals zero. Lots of people are talking about "Ga-eul Donghwa
[Autumn Story]" and Stairway to Heaven. I'm interested.
2003 - I'm really anxious to
watch some Korean crap. Juno Hahm comes over and shows me the ropes of
IRC and I downloaded my first episode of Autumn Story
2004 - I've downloaded Autumn
Story and Stairway to Heaven. I can almost put together a sentence in
Korean! I'm a total nut for Korean crap now.
2005 - I'm going to Korea in the summer! But I don't know Korean! Hyunhee
takes me up as her pupil and teaches me some foundation Korean. I can
somewhat get around, but I'm discouraged from speaking Korean at
church, cuz people always give me crap about it.
I go to Korea. I learn a bit more in the few weeks I'm there. But I
also realize how much more I gotta learn!! I come back from Korea with
total FOB fever.
I've known that Drexel doesn't offer Korean, but I just realize that I
can do something about it. So I write up a 3 page paper on why Korea
matters and submit it to foreign languages.
I've downloaded and watched all of "Kim Sam Soon."
2006 - Korean class is here!
Its still in testing phases, but if all goes well, we'll have
systematic classes offered [Korean 101, 102, etc]. Ant is takin Korean
too (w00t my meeguk). Hyunhee is still teaching me, we're reading "The
Great Gatsby" together in Korean. Progress is at about half a page per
2 hours of studying.
I just think its funny how back in middle school I couldn't care less
about what the heck Korea is. But maybe that's something that happens
with alot of people, trying to "find yourself" later on or something
-_-. But either way, my goal is still to work in South Korea in website
/ interactivity. Seeing as though Korea is the most advanced country in the world in terms of the internet...
my Korean still sucks, and the economy is pretty rough there right now,
it'll be hard... but I soo gotta do it. Me = sick of America.
